Thomas Honour
Founder and owner of Thomas Honour Mortgage Services, Thomas is a seasoned professional in the mortgage industry, with a financial services career spanning nearly two decades.
It was during this time that he discovered his natural aptitude for customer service and exceptional people management skills. Thomas’s journey in the financial sector began with working for an Oxford-based building society. Tom’s early career trajectory saw him assume the role of Branch Manager at an Oxford-based building society. During this period, his commitment to excellence led him to attain the CeMAP qualification, marking the beginning of his advisory and supervisory roles in mortgages and protection. It was during this time that Thomas’s passion for mortgages was ignited.
In 2014, in the wake of the banking crisis, Thomas seized a pivotal opportunity to advance his career in the mortgage industry. He transitioned into the role of a self-build mortgage specialist, providing financing for intriguing and diverse projects. Many of these projects gained recognition on Channel 4’s popular program, Grand Designs.
Thomas’s dedication to mastering the intricacies of mortgage lending continued to evolve. In 2017, he assumed the position of Head of Sales at an Oxfordshire-based mortgage brokerage, where he successfully managed a thriving team.
The birth of his daughter in 2019 marked a significant turning point in Thomas’s life. His daughter’s health challenges prompted him to reassess his priorities. Combined with his unwavering passion for helping people secure better mortgage deals, this experience fuelled his ambition to establish his own mortgage firm, leading to the creation of Thomas Honour Mortgage Services.
Today, Thomas serves as the driving force behind an expanding team at Thomas Honour Mortgage Services. Under his leadership, the firm has garnered local recognition and national acclaim, including being recognised as the top-rated Mortgage Advisor in Brackley on Google review and being shortlisted for the Best Broker category at The Mortgage Introducer Awards.
Outside of work, Thomas cherishes precious moments with his three children – Alfie, Bertie, and Winnie – as well as his long-time partner, Samantha, at their home in Brackley. He has a deep affection for his community and is an enthusiastic supporter of Tottenham Hotspur.
